WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Why 10 years of experience matters

If there's one thing I've learned after 10 years of photographing weddings, it's that experience matters. Weddings rarely go exactly as planned, and that's normal. I've photographed in pouring rain, dark reception venues, harsh midday sun, crazy wind, and everything in between. I've also seen timelines run behind, dresses rip, boutonnières go missing, and all the little things that happen on a wedding day. I have learned over the years how to roll with all of those situations. I have also put on my fair share of boutonnieres, buttoned dresses, slid on the garter and helped strap on shoes. I don’t want to just be a person with a camera, but genuinely want to be a friend and a helping hand where needed.

I'm also really big on helping build a timeline that actually makes sense for your day. Are you doing a first look? Do you care if your exit is photographed? Do you want just immediate family photos or every extended member you have?

I know how long things realistically take, where to build in buffer time, and how to keep the day moving without making it feel like you're being pulled in a hundred different directions. The less you're worrying about what's next, the more you get to actually enjoy your wedding. I will say, there have been plenty of times I’ve been in the situation of hair & makeup running behind and somehow me and my team always get us back on track.

I've worked with the same second photographer for years and she is a dear friend of mine and very talented photographer. And if she ever isn't available, I have several other photographers I've built relationships with over the last decade that I'd trust with my own wedding!

I want my photos to always reflect what it looked like in that moment. I have never been one to chase a certain editing trend and I always want the images I produce to be timeless and something you can look back on 20 years from now and it be portrayed in the same colors and tones as it did in person.

WHAT I DO OUTSIDE OF WORK

I am a wife to my husband Taylor and a mama to two of the cutest kids you’ve ever seen. My son, Lane, is 6 and plays football and baseball and I tote him around to a practice or game about five days a week. My baby girl, Goldie, was born April 2026 and is the sweetest, smiliest, most beautiful baby you’ll ever meet!

My favorite things to do is spending time with my family, reading (specifically fantasy..iykyk), going out to the lake and fishing, attending my sons many sports activities, going to church and loving on my husband and baby girl.

I love to travel and I have been all over the world for work: Ireland, Hawaii, Canada, Key West, NYC, Colorado, Alabama, Georgia and Florida…. just to name a few!

Jesus is my firm foundation and everything I do in life I strive to be a reflection of his love whether that be in my personal life or my work life.

Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We’ve already recommended them to others.
